Conference Objectives:
- Learn about funding opportunities from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and how best to position ourselves for success (www.pcori.org);
- Facilitate collaboration through a better understanding of the breadth of expertise and work done by Scientific Network members; and
- Compare, differentiate and discuss different models of evidence-based research and practice through interactive breakout groups.
Presentations:
We are excited to announce that Lori Frank, PhD, will be joining us to present during the plenary session. Dr. Frank is the Program Director of the Research Integration and Evaluation Program at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). Read more about Dr. Frank.
We will be hosting a dinner the evening before the conference on Thursday, April 30th, 2015. Please join us at 6:30pm at La Morra Bacari Ristorante, located at 48 Boylson St., Brookline, MA 02445. A variety of menu options will be provided.
Liz Frank, EdM, a 10-year breast cancer survivor and Lead Advocate for the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center Breast Cancer Advocates, will present on her patient perspective during the dinner. In prior years, the rich dialogue and ideas raised during the dinner session have often carried into and informed discussions during the scientific portion of the conference. Dinner has also been a fun and intimate setting for building relationships in the Network. We hope to see everyone there.
As with prior meetings, each of us will need to pay our own cost of travel and accommodations, as well as a $120 registration fee. We will assist in coordinating hotel accommodations, meals, and materials and will provide for a comfortable meeting space.
